Donnie and Melinda Richarz Bailey receive the AWA Will Rogers Award  for Western Song of the Year 2004

"Rich, smooth voice... terrific songwriter... I like him a lot." - Rusty Richards (Sons Of The Pioneers)

"This misplaced Texan has finally made it home and brought with him all kinds of great music they forgot to discover in Nashville." - Ann Stuckey (Music Row Talent Records, Inc.)

"Donnie always draws a large audience and he never disappoints them. He delivers a strong performance of excellent cowboy entertainment." - Mary Brown (Executive Producer, National Festival Of The West)

"Donnie Blanz is making a mark for himself in Texas and Tennessee as a lot of other cowboy singers are recording his moving and meaningful songs. But unlike a lot of good songwriters, Donnie's also a good singer and his own recordings can stand up next to anyone's." - Darrell Arnold (Publisher/Editor, Cowboy Magazine)

"The writing shines in this self-titled collection, although he does a fine job with the vocals and his Nashville connections pay off in the smooth, custom-made feel of the arrangements and musicianship." - Gary Vorhes (Editor, Western Horseman)

“Sweet, gentle lyrics and a voice like soft rain meander through the songs of Donnie Blanz’s CD. Blanz is definitely endearing.” Corinne Joy Brown (True West Magazine)

“Donnie Blanz is a well know songwriter; you’ve surely heard his, “You Just Can’t See Him From The Road.” But he’s also one heckuva singer!” O.J. Sykes (The Western Way Magazine)

For the perfect ending to a great day, top the evening off with an acoustic, musical concert performed by one of Western Music's most respected singer/songwriters and true renaissance men, Donnie Blanz. You'll be entertained by his clever, "gravel road wit," his wonderful, smooth voice and his skillful guitar work. You'll hear Donnie Blanz sing the story of a weathered old cowboy in, "The Wrangler." Listen as Donnie chronicles the life of a nineteenth century Arapaho warrior in, "The Buffalo Robe." In the song, "My Heart Is In San Antone," he'll put you on horseback with a 21st century cowboy who has fallen head-over-spurs for a beautiful senorita. You'll also hear Donnie sing a few old favorites you may not have heard in a while - songs from great artists such as Marty Robbins, Dan Seals, Mac Davis and The Eagles.

In addition to being a concert performer, Donnie Blanz is also a Speaker who speaks on the subject of The Cowboy Spirit. Donnie offers hilarious and poignant, true stories that celebrate the American Cowboy, his attitude and his legacy. This unique program will inspire you to find the Cowboy Spirit inside yourself, and Donnie's approach will help motivate you to use it. A team building program is also available for your company or organization. It's titled, "Team Building in 4/4 Time," and the participants will actually write a song with one of America's most prolific and most recorded contemporary Western songwriters.
